FAQ

1. Is Cross Training for me? I haven’t worked out in a long time/I’m overweight/I’m a grandparent/I’m not like those Cross Training athletes I saw on ESPN!

Yes! Cross Training is for everyone and anyone that is looking to incorporate a workout regime into their daily routine or lifestyle. If you’re looking to lose some weight, are a grandparent, or have never stepped foot into a gym a day of your life, it is no worry. Each individual who comes into our facility has different needs and means of working out and we work with each member to scale the workout to fit those needs. For instance, plank holds are done if you cannot do a push-up. Your will and determination is what will get YOU the results YOU want and we are here to encourage you to reach those end results and fitness goals.

2. Do you allow Drop-Ins from other Cross Training boxes? Absolutely!

We love when other enthusiasts come to visit! Our Drop-In rate is $20 per class. If you will be joining us for an extended time period, feel free to give us a call or drop us an email to discuss other available options.

3. What is ON-RAMP? Why do I have to do this before I start?

ON-RAMP, otherwise known as the Fundamentals of Cross Training, is a set of 3 classes where we will teach the 9 fundamental movement/lifts of Cross Training. These classes must be taken before you can do one of our own Da Factory Cross Training WODs, as they serve as the backbone of your future Cross Training WODs. The On-Ramp classes are held on Monday (Class #1), Tuesday (Class #2), and Thursday (Class #3) evenings at 7:15pm (If you come from another Cross Training, you may opt to do a one-on-one evaluation with a trainer. This is to ensure you have the basic knowledge and foundational skills to safely workout).

4. Do I work out on my own or do I have a trainer?

Here at Da Factory we value our members and service quality. The workouts vary from individual to partner WODs that allow for members to work together and encourage one another during the workout. Throughout the workout our trainers walk around the training area and oversee the technique and form of each member. This allows for the instructor to correct any mistaken technique and assure that your form is solid and improving each time you enter our facility.

5. What happens during a regular Cross Training class?

During each class a trainer will review technique and explain the WOD (Workout of the Day) prior to the start of the workout. The class will run as follows: Explanation of the WOD, a skills session in instruction of movements with examples given, warm-up, the actual workout, and lastly a stretch/cool down.

6. How long are Cross Training classes?

Classes are given 60 minutes  to cover everything from explanation all the way through the cool-down. Actual workout times can range from 15 minutes up to 45, all depending on the WOD.

7. What is a WOD?

WOD stands for Workout of the Day and it is updated on a daily basis on our website’s main page, Facebook, and Instagram.
